Packing Tips

If you are a couple, don't put all his clothes in one suit case and yours in another. Split them up. That way, if a bag gets lost, you'll both still have clothes.

Make sure to take a light jacket or sweater and something you can put over a formal outfit. The main dining room and show lounges are usually COLD...so be prepared.

Put anything that may leak in Ziplock bags.

Pack things inside of things. Ex: Rolled socks inside shoes.

Do not put jewelry, cameras, prescription meds or anything of value in checked baggage.

Take a beach bag if you intend to go to beaches while in port or to use as a shopping bag.

Take a battery alarm clock if you like to see what time it is during the night.

Pack dress clothes in plastic dry cleaner bags. They help keep clothes from wrinkling.

Tie a bright ribbon/scarf/tag to your luggage for easy spotting.

Take an empty duffle bag to put clothes and toiletry items in the last morning, as luggage will be picked up the night before.

Packing List/Carryon

You want to have a carry on bag since it takes several hours for checked luggage to make it to your cabin. Here's what should be in it:

An outfit for dinner if you're changing (most don't the first night)

All documents (passports, cruise docs, drivers license, credit cards, etc ( It's a good idea to make copies of all this and leave a copy locked up in a suitcase or your cabin safe and a copy with a family member at home in case something is lost or in case of emergency)

All medicines (mainly prescriptions but others if you think it's needed)

Jacket (sail away can be pretty chilly this time of year)

Camera, extra memory cards, extra batteries

Make up (or whatever you will need to touch up for dinner)

Brush/com

Clothing

Clothes and Other Items Packing List
1 formal outfit for each person

Outfits for other evenings (casual). Keep in mind that if eating in the dining room, no shorts are allowed at dinner.

Khakki type pants & shirts, sun dresses, skirts & tops, capris & tops, etc are ok. (Some are saying jeans are now allowed in the dining room EXCEPT on formal night but it still says no jeans in the official rules so I'm not sure about this.)

Outfits for days (shorts, capris, tee shirts, tanks, etc.-- something comfortable!)

Cover up for bathing suit

Underclothes

Socks, panty hose (if needed for formal night)
